Eat Beyond names a new CEO

Eat Beyond, an investment company focused on the plant-based food industry, has appointed CPG and food industry veteran Michael Aucoin as its new chief executive officer.

Aucoin replaces Patrick Morris who has served as CEO since the company launched in 2019.

According to a press release, Aucoin will lead Eat Beyond in a new direction with the goal of establishing the company as a “recognized leader in the $50 billion plant-based protein market” across North American and Europe.

"I am pleased to welcome Mr. Aucoin to the team as CEO as we chart a new course in the plant-based sector, building a balanced portfolio that can deliver value to our portfolio companies and our investors while pushing the industry forward," said Don Robinson, Eat Beyond’s chairman of the board.

Aucoin has more than 25 years of experience in food sales management and the consumer packaged goods industry, having held leadership roles with such companies as Advantage Solutions, Agropur, Hershey's and Smuckers. He was most recently a principal at MJA Consulting.
