Giant Tiger opens in Ancaster, Ont.

Giant Tiger opened a store in Ancaster, Ont. over the weekend.

The 18,000-sq.-ft. store features the chain’s usual fare of groceries, clothing and everyday household items at discount prices.

"We are thrilled to be a part of the community and look forward to opening our doors to serve our valued customers here in Ancaster, Ont.," said store manager, Raman Dhatt, in a press release announcing the opening. "We are ready to help families purchase their essentials at everyday low prices while maintaining a healthy shopping environment for everyone."

In accordance with provincial COVID-19 guidelines, the Ancaster store is conducting employee health checks before each shift, and has put one-way aisles and social distancing reminders in place. 

And, as is custom with a Giant Tiger store opening, the company and manager Dhatt are making a donation to a local charity.
