Costco Canada's exec retires
After more than 28 years in the business, Costco Canada's Louise Wendling retired last month.
As senior vice president and country manager, Wendling's leadership has played a critical part in the strength of the retailer's success here.

She's stuck to the simple formula of big sales, low staff turnover and millions of Canadians who pay to shop at Costco.

Wendling won't be retiring from retail for good however, as she told Canadian Grocer at the recent Store conference that she'll continue to be on the diversity advisory council at Costco.
Lorelle Gilpin, Costco Canada's vice-president of marketing, said that Wendling's role as administrator of our Ottawa head office has been replaced by Andree Brien, senior vice president, general merchandise manager.

There is no change in the roles of the two senior vice presidents of operations, Russ Miller in Western Canada and Pierre Riel in Eastern Canada.
