5/9/2017

Ontario has announced another 76 grocery stores across the province will be allowed to sell beer and cider starting June 30th.

Those selected in the competitive bidding process held by the LCBO include 11 independent grocery stores and 65 stores owned by large grocers.

Thirty-three of the new locations are in the Greater Toronto Area, 20 are in western Ontario, 15 are in the east and eight in the north.

The new authorizations will bring the total of grocery stores allowed to sell beer and cider to 206 -- including up to 70 that can sell wine.
