PepsiCo Foods Canada president to retire

After nearly three decades at PepsiCo, Marc Guay (pictured), president of PepsiCo Foods Canada, has announced his retirement. His last day on the job is Aug. 7.

Jason McDonell, current vice-president of field sales, will succeed Guay as president.

Guay first joined PepsiCo in 1986 as a national account manager. He has held a number of posts during his time at the company, including regional vice-president and vice-president of sales and marketing.

Guay was appointed president of Frito Lay Canada in 2001 and PepsiCo Foods Canada in 2008.

Last year, Guay was recognized with the Golden Pencil Award, the grocery industry's highest honour recognizing significant contributions made to the industry.

McDonnell has been with PepsiCo for 17 years and has held roles in general management and sales and marketing.

In a press release issued Tuesday, Tom Greco, CEO of Frito Lay North America, said that Guay leaves behind "a legacy that’s tough to follow. But I’m confident that Jason will be very successful in bringing the next chapter of PepsiCo Foods Canada to life.”
