World of Private Label trade show moved to 2022

PLMA has set a new date for spring of 2022, this is the second time the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the show to cancel
11/15/2021

The World of Private Label trade show has been moved to May 31 and June 1, 2022, due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

The Private Label Manufacturers Association announced it would be cancelling the in-person overseas event scheduled for Dec. 14-15 at RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam and rescheduling it for May of next year. This is the second cancellation because of COVID-19. It would’ve been the show’s first in-person return since 2019.

Peggy Davies, president of PLMA, said in an emailed announcement that “recent developments related to the COVID-19 public health crisis and government announcements impacting events and travel in The Netherlands and many other European countries, PLMA must cancel the 2021 ‘World of Private Label’ trade show.”

The association’s U.S.-based Private Label Trade Show is scheduled to return to an in-person event Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2022, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago. The show brings together store brand suppliers and retailers on the show floor, and offers educational sessions, a look at the association’s Salute to Excellence award winners, a New Product Expo and Idea Supermarket.

Last year, due to concerns from the global COVID-19 pandemic, PLMA transitioned both its international and stateside shows into virtual events. To continue offering its members ways to connect, PLMA said it would be hosting another virtual event called PLMA Global in March, in addition to the World of Private Label trade show in Amsterdam.
