C-store chain 7-Eleven isn't synonymous with healthy snacking, but the retailer is trying to change that.
The retailer will roll out a healthy snack section at some of its U.S. stores featuring products like dry roasted edamame, veggie chips and dried fruit.
Rebecca Frechette, the VP of merchandising for 7-11 said in a report that better-for-you is one of the fastest growing in the snacking category.
Along with 7-11's 7-Select line of trail mixes and snacks, Frechette said there will be gourmet brands consumers won't expect to find at a convenience store such as Stacy's Pita Chips and Skinny Pop All Natural Popcorn.
