The Ontario Produce Marketing Association (OPMA) has appointed Rebecca Harris as its new president.
Harris brings more than 15 years of association management experience to the role, previously held by interim president Michelle Broom.
Her background includes serving as the executive director at the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Greater Toronto Chapter and the executive director at the Ontario Association of Residences Treating Youth.
Harris’s skills include leadership, board relations, policy development, advocacy, program management, membership management and communications.
“We are confident that Rebecca's versatile leadership skills and dedication to amplifying the impact of not-for-profit organizations will guide our organization towards continued success,” said Adam Donikian, OPMA chair, in a statement. “Please join me in welcoming Rebecca Harris as our new president, we look forward to continued growth under her leadership.”
Harris officially joins the OPMA on Jan. 29.
