What do you like most about your job?
The people. I've been fortunate to learn from, work with and lead incredible people—some of whom have had a lasting impact on me. I consciously pay it forward at every opportunity. As a leader, creating an open, inclusive environment that empowers my team to grow and succeed while turning plans into action, is very rewarding.
What's your superpower?
Resilience. In supply chain, no two days are the same. It allows me to pivot through change and uncertainty, and bounce back from setbacks with agility and renewed perspective. It has fostered my ability to lead with emotional intelligence.
What is your proudest moment?
Being nominated for this award. I was genuinely surprised and honoured. I'm grateful to my leaders for this recognition. It's a privilege to share this moment with women across the industry.
Best advice you've received?
It's hard to narrow it down to one as there are several that I've carried with me.
- “You don't have to be a leader to lead”—early in my career this mindset underscored the importance of relationships and collaboration built on trust and integrity.
- “Be cautiously optimistic”—mastering the balance between celebrating milestones and expecting the unexpected is key.
- “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable”—some of my greatest learnings and opportunities have come from embracing unfamiliar experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm.
What is a career challenge you've faced?
Navigating the pandemic. It was both challenging and rewarding. In unprecedented times, we reinvented our strategies to meet dynamic customer needs in response to shifting consumer trends, within the constraints of a disrupted supply chain. This required us to fundamentally change how we worked and collaborated with colleagues, stakeholders and customers. The camaraderie and unwavering support demonstrated by my team and others were profound, deepening my growth as an empathic leader.
What is a fun fact about you?
I love roller coasters! The taller and faster, the better! Pop culture is my guilty pleasure.
