Metro-owned ethnic grocer Adonis continues its Ontario expansion with the opening of its third supermarket in the province (and its second store in Mississauga).
Officially opened Thursday, the nearly 46,000-sq.-ft. space employs more than 150 and features a buffet-style counter with hot and grilled foods that can be eaten within the store's 50-seat dining area or on the patio during the summer months.
Fresh meats, a nut and olive station, a fresh seafood counter and Middle Eastern pastries are also showcased at the new location.
Adonis entered the Ontario market in 2013 with a store in Mississauga and a year later opened in Scarborough. Ten other Adonis stores are situated in and around Montreal, where the grocery retailer was founded.
