Amazon Canada expands Prime free, one-day delivery

Members who spend more than $25 are eligible to receive next-day delivery

Amazon Canada is expanding its free, one-day delivery service from six to 19 cities.

Members of the e-giant's Prime program, who spend more than $25, will receive free shipping when they order by 11 p.m. in Ontario, by 9:45 p.m. EST in Quebec and by 3:45 p.m. PST in Victoria. Orders will arrive by 9 p.m. local time, the next day.

"Prime represents the best of Amazon in convenience, selection and price and our ultimate goal is to continue to bring the benefits of Prime to as many Canadian customers as possible," said Mike Strauch, country manager for Amazon Canada, in a press release.

The 13 new cities offering free, one-day delivery are:


  • Ancaster, Ont.

  • Brantford, Ont.

  • Cambridge, Ont.

  • Dundas, Ont.

  • Grimsby, Ont.

  • Hamilton, Ont.

  • Kitchener, Ont.

  • London, Ont.

  • Paris, Ont.

  • Waterloo, Ont.

  • Woodstock, Ont.

  • Quebec City, Que.

  • Victoria, B.C.
