Amazon has opened its first fulfillment centre in Quebec.
The facility is located in Lachine on the Island of Montreal and is used to pick, pack and ship such items as toys, pet products and small electronics.
The facility will ramp up operations over the coming weeks, and will have more than 300 employees by the 2020 holiday shopping season, Amazon said.
The e-giant also recently announced plans to build its second fulfillment centre in Ottawa.
The Lachine facility is Amazon's 13th fulfillment centre in Canada. It also has warehouses in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba.
