Aurora Importing promotes Joe Moscato and Peter Dichio

Aurora Importing has promoted VP of Sales and Marketing Joe Moscato and Controller Peter Dichio to new roles.

The Canadian importer-distributor of Italian dry foods has appointed Moscato as its new president while Dichio is named the company’s first chief financial officer.

Moscato joined Aurora Importing in 2018 as VP of sales, later adding VP of marketing to his title. He brings more than 22 years of CPG experience across various leadership roles within the grocery industry to the role. 

Dichio, meanwhile, joined the company in 2016 after spending 10 years with Johnvince Foods as controller. In his new role, the executive will oversee finance, IT and logistics. 

Moscato and Dichio’s promotions extend to Edoko Food Importers, acquired by the Pulla family in 2016. Serving the Western Canadian marketplace for more than 66 years, Edoko Food Importers is an importer-distributor of European dry grocery foods and cheeses. 

The executives are tasked with leading the merger of Aurora Importing and Edoko Food Importers.
