Be Part of Grocery Week at the Industry’s Main Conference & Exhibition - Grocery Innovations Canada
The grocery industry’s biggest event takes place Oct. 29 & 30, 2024 at the Toronto Congress Centre. Attendees can take in the latest innovations, as well as hear from industry experts on topics concerning their business.
The event kicks off on Tuesday with an update on the Code of Conduct in grocery. Join CFIG’s Gary Sands, to hear what the Code will mean for your business. It’s a not to miss session for all of industry to get the latest news .
Following the Code, there will be a panel session looking into the macroeconomic and financial market trends affecting the grocery sector and consumer retailing.

Explore the various category innovations daily starting at 11:00am. The latest in equipment, technology, packaging, and more can be discovered on the floor. There are pavilions focused on local, global and green products and services. Pavilions to check out: Sustainability Sentral, Ontario and First Timers.
Learnings can be found at the sessions on the Interac Insights & Innovations Stage that will provide information on topics concerning grocers, including trends and issues affecting grocery businesses. New this year is the Sip and Sample Stage where you can taste the latest in innovations hitting stores and how to market them on site.
GIC is the hub for networking with the dedicated meeting program open to all through the GIC Show App. Meet and connect with industry colleagues face to face. Starting Monday there is the opening reception; Tuesday the Mix and Mingle reception takes place at 4:30pm followed by the Master Merchandising Awards celebrating the best in-store displays.
The New Product Showcases in the lobby will provide a look into the future of grocery with the latest innovations. The best retailers in Canada will be awarded hardware on Wednesday evening at the Independent Grocer of the Year Awards.
The morning conference sessions are not to be missed, from the panel discussion on the ethnic category with Rick Rabba of Rabba Fine Foods and other experts in the field, the breakout workshop sessions will also provide new ideas and considerations for grocers.
