Pangea Natural Foods boosts Canadian retail presence, expands into U.S.
The B.C.-based company has increased retail distribution in Canada with IGA Marketplace BC and Fresh Street Market, both owned by H.Y. Louie Co.
As of June 2022, both the Old Fashioned Ghee and Plant-Based Patties were listed in approximately 23 IGA Marketplace stores in B.C., and in all seven Fresh Street Market locations.
The company’s products are now listed in over 250 retail outlets across Canada.
Pangea has also expanded into the U.S. with retail distribution in New Jersey-headquartered supermarket chain H Mart, operated by the Hanahreum Group.
As of July 16, 2022, the Plant-Based Patties were listed in select H Mart locations across Texas. The chain has 84 stores stateside, as well as outlets in Canada and the UK.
London Drugs opens doors to new location in South Edmonton's largest shopping centre
Western Canada’s London Drugs has set up shop at a 29,600 sq. ft. location within Edmonton's Southgate Centre Mall, having relocated from its original shop on 51 Ave NW.
The retail pharmacy chain’s new store features an open concept design and a greater depth of grocery offerings. Space allocated for coffee grows from 16 to 24 ft.; nuts from 8 ft. to 12 ft.; chocolate from 28 ft. to 32 ft.; mixers and sparkling beverages from 8 ft. to 12 ft.; pantry from 20 ft. to 24 ft.; and crackers from 8 ft. to 12 ft.
