Canadian Grocer finds new home with EnsembleIQ


Canada’s leading grocery publication is under new ownership.

Canadian Grocer is pleased to announce that EnsembleIQ has acquired the Canadian Grocer brand.

Along with Canadian Grocer, Ensemble IQ has also acquired Pharmacy Practice+, Profession Santé, The Medical Post  and other allied brands from Rogers Media.

The acquired brands provide a strategic complement to EnsembleIQ’s U.S. media titles that include Progressive Grocer, Shopper Marketing, Retail Leader, Convenience Store News and The Gourmet Retailer as well as Canadians brands that include Pharmacy Business, and Your Convenience Manager.

Canadian Grocer is excited for the opportunities that are sure to arise from working with these publications.

With this partnership, the Canadian Grocer brand will continue to maintain its high editorial standards and commitment to covering and contributing to Canada’s grocery industry.

The Canadian Grocer brand launched 130 years ago and includes eight print issues a year, online daily news and annual conferences and events for the grocery. It was named “Trade Magazine of the Year” at last year’s KRW Awards, which recognize excellence in B2B publishing

This transaction was led by Korry Stagnito who has been named President of EnsembleIQ-Canada. Mr. Stagnito has also been appointed EnsembleIQ's Chief Business Development Officer. In this role, Mr. Stagnito will spearhead all of the company's future M&A activities.
