Canadian Grocer, now on your iPad

9/4/2012

For 126 years, Canadian Grocer readers have read the magazine on paper. And for the last few years you've been able to read it on your computer and even your phone.

Now we're taking Canadian Grocer to the next level by making the magazine available on the iPad too.

The August issue of Canadian Grocer is available for free through the app store on your iPad. It contains all of the articles in that issue, plus bonus content, photos and links to interesting videos.

"This is a new and exciting way for readers to get every issue of the magazine," Rob Gerlsbeck, Canadian Grocer's editor said. "And going forward, in future issues, we'll offer even more content to explore, such as videos, extended interviews with important people in the industry and slide shows of great grocery stores."

Canadian Grocer's iPad app is sponsored by Unilever.

The August issue of the magazine is devoted to sustasinability and features green strategies of several Canadian grocers, including Sobeys, Metro and Calgary Co-op.

We also have our first annual industry roundtable on sustainability (done in partnership with Kruger Products) that takes a look at the green consumer.

The August issue also features an interview with John Scott, president of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers, the winners of the Grand Prix New Product Awards and a news feature on British grocer Andrew Thornton, who grows vegetables on the roof of his store and sells them in his produce section.

You can download the August issue for free by getting the Canadian Grocer iPad app here.

And don't forget about our upcoming Sustainability Conference, Sept. 20th in Toronto. More information and tickets are available here.
