5/12/2014

Canadian Grocer magazine has received four nominations for publishing excellence in the annual Kenneth R. Wilson Awards.

The award finalists, which recognize superb writing and art direction among Canadian business magazines, were announced early last week. Judges nominated a total of 174 submissions this year among the nearly 550 entries received.

Canadian Grocer’s art director, Lindsay Maclachlan, received two nominations.

The first was for the cover of Canadian Grocer's November issue "Will Amazon take over the world?"

The August sustainability issue earned two nomination, including Best Feature article for freelancer Chris Dart, and Best Art Direction in an opening spread for Maclachlan ("Local Growers", August 2013).

Managing editor, Nancy Kwon, was named a finalist in the Best Technology article category for her feature story on Sobeys'  hight-tech warehouse (“A Brave New World”; February 2013 issue).

During the past four years, Canadian Grocer has received 16 nominations, winning two golds and one silver.

The winners will be presented at the KRW Gala on June 3, 2014 at One King West Hotel in Toronto.
