Nuba’s Carob drink has been recalled due to the potential presence of dangerous bacteria.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) – which triggered the recall – said the non-alcoholic beverage may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum
It has been sold in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec and may have been distributed in other provinces or territories.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with consumption of the drink.
A food safety investigation is underway.
