CFIG hires former RCC executive to fill VP role
The Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) has appointed Sebastian Prins as vice-president of public policy and advocacy.
Prins brings more than seven years’ experience to the role, having worked most recently with the Retail Council of Canada as its director of government relations (Ontario), with a heavy focus on the grocery industry.
“Sebastian is keenly aware of the issues and challenges facing retail grocers and the continuing need to make governments aware of how those can disproportionately impact independent grocers” said CFIG’s senior vice-president of public policy and advocacy Gary Sands.
“We are excited to have Sebastian join our team and he will be a great asset to our members in the months and years ahead,” Sands continued. “Sebastian will also have the opportunity to meet with many of our members personally next month at Grocery and Specialty Food West (GSF) in late April in Vancouver.”
