Costco's fourth Business Centre is now open to customers.
The members-only warehouse club, which caters to businesses of all sizes including convenience store, restaurant and food service operators, officially opened in West Edmonton during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
The 127,000-sq.-ft. space is located in the city's northwest end and offers more than 3,200 products including commercial kitchen wares, cleaning supplies, office furniture and coffee.
Bulk food examples include 16-litre canola oil, a variety of large format flours and sugars, 36-kilogram Parmigiano wheels, 10-kilogram jars of peanut butter and 18.9-litre maple syrup.
“Costco members will find our product offering to be unique, while always offering great value,” said warehouse manager Tom Benko, in a press release. “This convenient and spacious location will present a vastly different selection of business merchandise – at prices that only Costco Wholesale can offer and with the added bonus of white-glove, next-business day delivery service.”
The West Edmonton opening is part of Costco's national growth strategy. Costco plans to open additional Business Centres throughout the year, including its fifth location scheduled to open in St. Catharines this Thursday.
Costco opened its first Canadian Business Centre in Scarborough, Ont. in 2017, and last month opened its third location just outside of Ottawa.
