Costco sales climb in October

Costco Wholesale Corp. reported net sales of $18.53 billion for the month of October, up 4.5% from 17.73 billion last year.

Net sales came to $36.57 for the first eight weeks of the fiscal year, an increase of 5.3% compared to the prior year.

Comparable sales in Canada were up 9.5% on an adjusted basis. 

U.S. sales increased 2.2% and Other International sales rose 4.1%. Total company sales increased 3.4% and e-commerce was up 3.1%.
