Costco’s Canadian sales rise in December

Costco Wholesale Corp. reported net sales of $26.15 billion for December, as Canadian sales increased by 12.8%.

The warehouse club’s net sales were up 9.9% from $23.8 billion last year. 

Comparable sales for the U.S. were up by 7.3% and Other International sales rose 10.5% and e-commerce increased by 17.7%.

December had one additional shopping day due to the timing of New Year’s Day. This benefited total and comparable sales by approximately 3%, Costco said.
