Dairy Farmers of Canada names new CEO
Dairy Farmers of Canada has appointed Jacques Lefebvre as chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Lefebvre has more than 25 years of experience across multiple sectors, and most recently served as president and chief executive officer at the Dairy Processors Association of Canada.
"I welcome the opportunity to use my past experience, inside and outside of the dairy sector, to bring our industry together as we face tremendous pressure on trade and government relations issues," said Lefebvre in a press release announcing this hire. "It is more important than ever that we work collectively to defend and promote the industry."
Dairy Farmers ushered in a new president last summer with the election of Pierre Lampron for a two-year term. Meanwhile, Lampron's predecessor, Wally Smith, was recently named executive vice-president of Bothwell Cheese.
