DCI/CIGBA hand out their 2022 Star Awards
DCI in association with the Canadian Independent Grocery Buyers Alliance (CIGBA) handed out their Star Awards at the groups' Business Summit 2022, which was held in Toronto earlier this week. The awards, which are presented each year, recognize DCI and CIGBA's partners and independent retailers.
Here are the 2022 Star Award winners:
Retailer of the Year: Pasquier
Partner of the Year: Maple Leaf Foods
Social Responsibility Award: Vince’s Market
Innovation Award: Sharpe’s Food Market
Leader of the Year: David La Mantia of La Mantia’s Country Market Fresh
Lifetime Achievement Award: Merlen Kropf (posthumously) of L&M Food Market. The award was accepted by the Merlen’s daughter Debra and grandchildren Alexis and Noah of The Geddes Street Market.
