Italian marketplace Eataly opened its third store in Toronto on Thursday (May 30).

It also recently announced plans to open its fourth store in city, at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre.

The location at CF Shops at Don Mills spans nearly 10,000 square feet. It features a restaurant, a retail footprint with a range of important and local products and several quick service counters.

The market will feature the company’s usual “made in Italy” fare, from olive oils to pre-cut meats and  imported Italian goods, as well as Eataly’s housemade line and offerings from local Canadian producers.

Quick-service counters include La Pasticceria (baked goods made fresh daily), Il Gran Caffè (all-day coffee bar), Pizza alla Pala (Roman-style pizza) and La Salumeria (Focaccia Farcita and panini).

The restaurant features 180 seats, with both indoor and patio seating. Patrons can expect traditional Italian gastronomy, including pasta dishes, pizza and mains. The wine list will comprise more than 85 selections of Italian wine, as well as seasonal cocktails and non-alcoholic options.

Eataly recently opened its Sherway Gardens store in November, following the 2019 opening of its Yorkville flagship.

With the Don Mills marketplace, Toronto is the second city in North America outside of New York to have three Eataly locations.

The expansion marks Eataly’s second store in partnership with Cadillac Fairview.
