Ottawa-based Farm Boy will be opening its third London location this Saturday.
The 28,000-square-foot store can be found on Beaverbrook Avenue–a 20 minute drive from the fresh grocer's first London location on Wellington Road.
Farm Boy first ventured into London in June 2014. It opened its second London location, near Masonville Mall, this past March.
As with Farm Boy's other 16 stores in Ontario, the Beaverbrook location emphasizes fresh and organic products.
Highlights of the new location include a 50-foot fresh salad and hot bar, as well as 500 fresh Ontario dairy products including local, organic milk. It also features 300 varieties of cheese, 150 fresh deli meats and 25 varieties of fresh soup.
An in-store chef prepares fresh hot meals daily, including specials like Taco Tuesdays, Shawarma Thursdays and TGIF Pho Fridays.
Farm Boy was founded in Cornwall, Ont. While the majority of its stores are located in Cornwall and Ottawa, the company has since expanded west in Ontario. In 2012 it opened in Kingston, and in March it announced the construction of a new location in Whitby, a town 40 minutes east of Toronto.
The grand opening of the Beaverbrook location will take place this Saturday, featuring samples from local suppliers and live entertainment.
