Quebec’s Saladexpress has launched Florette, its new branded line that includes ready-to-eat side salads as well as a selection of fettuccine-inspired veggie strips.
The salad kits are available in three varieties: Berry Beets (green cabbage, red beets, kale, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and a strawberry and Greek yogurt dressing), Country Dijon (red cabbage, carrots, green cabbage, kale, sunflower seeds, raisins and honey dijon dressing), and the Tex-Mex-inspired Salsa Ranch (carrots, red cabbage, green cabbage and kale complemented by a creamy salsa dressing and crunchy BBQ corn nuts).
The veggie “fettuccines” also come in three varieties: beet, carrot and turnip. Whether used as a side dish or main course, the Florette veggie fettuccine can be cooked in the same way as a regular pasta would be, and can be served with the same kinds of sauces you would use for any typical pasta dish. Unlike traditional pasta, however, these fettuccines are gluten-free and add a big boost of veggie-powered nutrition to your meal.
