Food World Plus opening soon in Greater Toronto Area

Food World is opening a second store in the Greater Toronto Area.

The grocery retailer is teasing its new Food World Plus location: a 176,338 square-foot supermarket featuring “flavours from around the world.”

Opening soon at 50 Matheson Boulevard East in Mississauga, the store promises to offer a full bakery and deli, live seafood tanks, fresh produce, a floral counter, grab-and-go offerings, an expansive beauty boutique stocked with Korean skincare and “niche perfumes,” and an alcohol section.

Food World Plus will also feature dedicated aisles for gluten-free foods, an international cheese counter, a food court with live cooking stations and a kids’ area.

An opening date has not yet been announced.

Food World’s first store is located at 6628 Finch Avenue West in Etobicoke, Ont.
