French chain looks at accepting virtual currency

Monoprix in France is looking to be Bitcoin ready by the end of this year

French supermarket chain Monoprix will be ready to accept Bitcoin, the virtual currency on its website by year's end. The chain's e-commerce director Patrick Oualid said in an interview with Journal du Net that the grocer is also working on allowing its customers to pay using their mobile phones in stores, using Bitcoin as well.
