Frozen chicken products recalled due to Listeria risk
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has expanded a recall of diced frozen chicken products as part of an ongoing investigation that began earlier this month.
Triggered by "surveillance activities following an investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak," CFIA issued a recall on Oct. 1 of Gordon Choice brand frozen chicken products sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Yukon.
On Thursday, the government agency expanded that recall to include products supplied to hotels, restaurants, hospitals and other institutions across all of Canada.
A list of recalled products, including UPCs, can be found here.
There have been no confirmed illnesses associated with these products.
