Gallery: Inside Metro's newly renovated Oshawa store
Metro celebrated the grand reopening of its Oshawa store after months of renovations.
The store, located at 1265 Ritson Rd. N., now features homemade artisanal stone baked pizzas; more than 100 varieties of imported and domestic cheeses; an expanded ethnic section; and more upgraded services.
Representatives from the community joined the celebration including Oshawa Deputy Mayor Bob Chapman; Jim Lee, Oshawa city councillor; Member of Provincial Parliament Jennifer French; LeeAnne Rorabeck, director of development at Feed the Need Durham; and Shanade Thomas from Feed Ontario.
Metro presented Feed the Need Durham with a cheque for $2,500 – and community representatives helped store manager Scott Rekker and members of the Metro team cut the ribbon to the newly renovated store.
