Get Connected at Grocery Innovations Canada 2025 – the leading grocery trade show and conference Oct. 28-29 in Toronto
All of grocery will gather at the nation’s premier exhibition and conference October 28-29 at the Toronto Congress Centre, North building. With more than 5600 Attendees, 1500+ Companies, and more than 608 booths across 140,000-sq.-ft. there will be lots of innovations to discover over the event.
To kick off the conference on Tuesday, there are exclusive speakers including Karen Proud, Grocery Code Adjudicator; Ramy Nassar, acclaimed expert in AI; and BMO Sr. Economist & Director– Aaron Goertzen providing an overview of the economy.
Wednesday’s event features an exclusive report from NielsenIQ, Leverage Diversity for Growth: A View into the Ethnic Shopper, presented by Carman Allison.
Concurrent workshops will cover a range of topics from the global transition to 2D barcodes and what it means for your business, with GS1 Canada’s Jason Laxdal, and Pam Horvatis. Delegates can also attend sessions on the 2025 Independent Grocer Financial Survey results by FMS, along with keys to the new grocery code for retailers, with Henry Chambers, Sentinel International Commercial Training and Management Consultants.
Afternoon stage sessions are open to all attendees and feature a range of topics from trends in K-Food with Korea Food Trading Edward Son, to the state of labour in 2025: what’s changed and what’s next, with Steve Mendelssohn, of Jobsthatfeed.ca.
Over two days, there are networking events to help connect businesses. The Category Connect meeting program features dedicated meetings on Tuesday 12pm – 3pm. All attendees are invited to the Merchandising Excellence awards cocktail on Tuesday where industry can meet for cocktails and connections. The Master Merchandising Awards will be handed out to the best POS displays in Canada along with the announcement of the 10 most innovative products in grocery.
The next evening, on Wednesday following the trade show close, the best grocers in Canada will be acknowledged at the Independent Grocer of the Year Awards. As well, Scott Lorimer (Life Member, Industry Builder) and Dino Bianco (Spirit of the Independent) will be recognized by peers for their contributions to independents and the industry.
The afternoon trade show exhibition features the very best that grocery has to offer including an incredible assortment of food, beverage, technology, and infrastructure necessities.
