Giant Tiger and Indspire launch fourth-year T-shirt collab
Who: Giant Tiger and national Indigenous charity Indspire
What: For the fourth year, Giant Tiger has partnered with Indspire to create an exclusive orange T-shirt to help raise awareness for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. To date, the annual campaign has raised $1.3 million for the charity.
The shirt, designed by Two-Spirit Ojibwe artist Patrick Hunter, is available at select Giant Tiger stores and on the retailer’s e-commerce site, with proceeds supporting Indigenous post-secondary students through the Learning from the Past Fund.
This fund provides bursaries to Indigenous post-secondary students pursuing an education in Indigenous Studies and Languages, according to a press release.
"This initiative shows the incredible impact our stores and customers can make together. Every shirt sold helps shape a student's future and create meaningful change in the communities we're so proud to serve," said Gabrielle Hargrove, senior vice-president and human resources officer at Giant Tiger Stores Limited, in the release.
