Giant Tiger expands loyalty program out East

Five months after introducing a loyalty program to its stores in Ontario, Giant Tiger is expanding the program to Atlantic provinces and Quebec.

Called GT VIP, the program is accessed via mobile through the retailer’s free app, where shoppers can also search their exclusive GT VIP deals and browse the weekly flyer.

In addition to the flyer, new deals on groceries, fashion and home essentials are loaded each Wednesday.

"We successfully launched to Ontario last fall and after seeing the exciting level of engagement, we are eager to offer this program to even more Canadian customers," said Cindy-Lynn Steele, senior vice-president, corporate strategy & marketing, Giant Tiger Stores Limited, in a press release announcing the expansion.
