Telus tackles retail behavior tracking, fleet management and mobile payment and loyalty solutions

It’s no secret that retailing is a competitive business.

And with technology driving change in almost every aspect of the retail experience, grocers need to keep on top of digital trends.

At the Retail Council of Canada’s STORE Conference, exhibitors across the tradeshow floor showcased cutting edge solutions and technologies that retailers could incorporate into their business.

One exhibitor, Telus was out to show business owners the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) and what it can provide in a practical retail setting. The booth, a fully functional smoothie bar, featured three vendors who’ve developed technology-based solutions to address issues retailers face on a day-to-day basis.

We chatted with Robin Mascarenhas, business manager for IoT strategic solutions and partnerships with Telus, about the vendors and the importance of keeping a competitive edge:
