Greater accountability on the horizon
Kruger Products, Canada's No. 1 tissue brand manufacturer, has been committed to doing business more sustainably since the launch of its reforestation program more than 60 years ago. And through its Sustainability 2015 initiative, the company is making clear progress in meeting ambitious environmental targets it set in key areas such as water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, packaging and more.
When asked what the next big issue in sustainability will be, Steven Sage, Kruger Products’ VP of Sustainability and Innovation, says it will be about deeper accountability, particularly along the supply chain as both retailers and consumers, increasingly, want to know more about where products are sourced and how they are made.
