GreenSpace appoints a new board director

GreenSpace Brands, the Toronto-based company behind such brands as Rolling Meadow Dairy, Nudge and Holistic Choice pet food, has named Maria Pacella to its board of directors.

Pacella is senior vice-president, private equity at PenderFund Capital Management, a position she started earlier this year. She has more than 16 years of experience investing in new and growing businesses, and has held operations roles at companies including GrowthWorks Capital and Beedie Capital Partners.

"Maria's experience is an excellent complement to our existing Board skill set, bringing a considerable amount of experience working with emerging growth companies and a strategic acumen to the table," said Matthew von Teichman, GreenSpace's chief executive officer and chairman of the board, in a press release.
