Grocers get in on ice bucket challenge
No one is immune to the infamous "ice bucket challenge."
While over the weeks consumers and celebrities such as Justin Bieber and Conan O'Brien have videotaped themselves dumping buckets of ice cold water on their heads, the challenge has also extended to grocers, farmers and food manufacturers.
The ALS Association has raised over $8 million in donations with the campaign, which challenges individuals to either donate money to the organization or take the icy plunge (the ice water is meant to simulate the nerve feelings ALS patients have). The results are inspiring, and in many cases pretty funny.
Strathoy,Ont.-based dairy farmers Dean and Ian Bryant took an interesting approach to the challenge, calling on all other Canadian farmers to do the same.
