The Grocery Foundation makes appointments to its board of directors

Several industry leaders have joined The Grocery Foundation’s board of directors.

Elizabeth Duggan, general manager and SVP of The Campbell’s Company of Canada, Frederic Guichard, president, Danone Canada and Ron Welke, president and CEO of CFIG, are the board’s newest members. 

Prior to leading Campbell’s Canadian business, Duggan was the company’s SVP of corporate strategy and transformation, reporting to the CEO and sitting on Campbell’s executive leadership team. 

Guichard has held several senior leadership positions globally within Eastern Europe, France and Canada in his over 25 years with Danone.

Prior to joining CFIG, Welke was the associate VP of food at Federated Co-op. Welke is a past chair of the board of CFIG and is currently on the grocery board of GS1.

Known for its annual Night to Nurture Gala, Toonies for Tummies/Make Happy Tummies campaign and School Breakfast program, the Foundation works with student nutrition programs across Western Canada, Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
