For nearly 20 years, a trip to Les 5 Saisons was part of the shopping ritual for many who live in the Westmount neighbourhood of Montreal. Then, in 2010, that appeared to be ending. The property that the Metro-owned stores sits atop was going to be redeveloped into a condo complex.
But loyal customers protested, and with the help of city officials and the developer, the store was soon made part of the new complex. A fully renovated store opened this past summer at a cost of $6.7 million. Have a look inside by using the slideshow below.
