KaleMart24 is celebrating the grand opening of its second location, right in the heart of Montreal.

The new 450 sq.-ft. store, the company’s first in the borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension, is conveniently within the Jarry Metro Station and is designed to appeal to busy commuters hankering for better-for-you food, beverages, snacks and household staples.

Launching with the slogan “Where Wellness Meets Convenience,” the first KaleMart24 opened last month (March 8th) at Berri-UQAM Metro station in the city centre borough of Ville-Marie.

Later this month, KaleMart24 is to open a 2,055-sq.-ft. store at 1055 Rue de la Montagne (next to the Bell Centre).

KaleMart24 founder and CEO, Sam Saoudi, first announced plans for KaleMart24 in January 2023, with the promise of it becoming the “Whole Foods of Convenience Stores.”

His goal is to disrupt the c-store category with healthier choices, including a selection of natural, organic, and locally-sourced products, catering to a younger, on-the-go customer base.

Saoudi told Convenience Store News Canada last year that the company plans to have five locations in Montreal by the end of 2024, and “to reach over 30 locations by the end of 2025” in major markets, including Toronto and Vancouver.

In a recent LinkedIn post, Scott Grandin announced he is working with Kalemart24 on the franchise development of the brand in Ontario.
