Keurig Dr Pepper Canada (KDP Canada) debuted its largest coffee-focused distribution centre in the country this week.

Located in Beauharnois, Que., the 602,000 square-foot facility expands the company’s operational footprint and distribution capabilities for coffee products, brands and coffee makers, including e-commerce.

The construction project, launched by developer OleaDev in 2023 with an initial footprint of 421,000 square feet, now includes a 181,000 square foot expansion.

The opening follows that of a distribution centre in Balzac, Alta. and a coffee roasting and packaging plant in Saint-Michel, Que. in 2024.

The Beauharnois plant features a cafeteria and lounge area.

Key features of the distribution centre include 40-foot clearance, over 60,000 pallet  positions split with between racking positions (one third) and the rest of the building  used for bulk storage, 77 loading dock doors and 75 trailer parking spots.

“This inauguration marks a game-changing moment for Keurig Dr Pepper Canada as  we open our largest distribution centre in history. This facility not only reinforces Keurig® leadership as the #1 brewing system in Canada but also significantly boosts our  capacity and efficiency. It reflects our commitment to this market and our strategic  vision for growth, enabling us to deliver quality coffee products while reducing our  environmental footprint. This multi-million-dollar investment is a testament to our  dedication to our people and our mission,” said Carl Saba, vice-president of supply chain and operations, Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, in a release.
