Kraft Heinz Canada to invest $250M in Montreal plant upgrade
Kraft Heinz Canada is investing $250 million to modernize its Mont Royal factory in Montreal.
In a press release issued March 20, the company said the investment reinforced its “commitment to Canadian manufacturing and homegrown production of its iconic brands.”
This initiative aims to reinforce domestic food production and deepen the company’s presence in Canada. It will lead to efficiency, sustainability and innovation improvements at the facility, which current employs more than 1,000 workers, the company said.

“This investment underscores our more than 120-year-old commitment to Canada and producing the foods Canadians love right here at home,” said Kraft Heinz Canada president Simon Laroche, in a press release.
“This investment is a testament to the hard work and success of our Quebec employees,” he added. “From Kraft Dinner to Philadelphia Cream Cheese and Kraft Peanut Butter, our Mont Royal facility plays a vital role in bringing these household staples to tables across the country.”
