Kroger has an app for that, too

Earlier this month, Loblaw Companies introduced an innovative loyalty card app that let’s shoppers collect points right on their smartphone.

So it seems now that at least one more major North American grocery chain has come out with a loyalty app.

Kroger Co., last week unveiled an app that lets members of its loyalty program download coupons, renew prescriptions, make a shopping list and track fuel rewards from Kroger gas pumps.

"This is what a growing number of customer segments expect from us. It's not just the 20-somethings,” a Kroger spokesman told USA Today.
