Kroger looks for charge from the electric-car set

Kroger is install 225 electric charging stations at its supermarkets in California and Arizona.

The American chain is working with Ecotality, the second-largest operator of public car-charging stations in the U.S. to install the chargers, according to Bloomberg.

Data from Kroger reveals that people who drive electric cars spend about 30 minutes longer in supermarkets that people who drive gas cars, suggesting that electric car drivers may be extra valuable for grocers.
