Kruger Products was recently awarded the 2013 Greening of the Supply Chain Award from the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters.
The annual award is presented to a Canadian company that has initiated, implemented, and proven a corporate commitment to greening its supply chain, as well as reducing its carbon footprint.
“The award is a real testament to our leadership and commitment to driving sustainable change within our company, our broader industry and the industries of our customers,” said Steven Sage, VP of sustainability & innovation, Kruger Products. “At the mid-way point of our Sustainability 2015 journey, we are proud of our progress and will continue to work hard to continue to find ways to evolve our operations.”

The company was recognized for its updated supplier policies, FSC certification, work in reducing logistics and transportation inefficiencies, and installation of innovative technologies to improve its sustainable performance.
The other two finalists this year were Toshiba and Celestica. Walmart won the award last year.
