The latest innovations from the Sweets & Snacks Expo

Last month, confectionery manufacturers and chocolate lovers congregated at The National Confectioners' Association's annual Sweets & Snacks Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Exhibitors had the opportunity to showcase their latest products and highlight exciting new ingredients and interesting industry trends.

One of the show's highlights was the announcement of the Most Innovative New Product Awards, where a panel of experts decided which products are the most likely to succeed.

This year 45 nominations over nine different categories were given to companies showcasing the most innovative ideas, concepts and products in the industry.

The first ever Best in Show Award – or the people's choice award – was also given out. All attendees had the opportunity to vote for the most innovative product they found on the show floor.
