Loblaws reopens in Bowmanville, Ont.
Loblaws in Bowmanville, Ont. held its grand reopening last week.
Located at 2375 Durham Regional Highway 2, the Loblaw Companies banner welcomed shoppers back to its refreshed location on July 17.
The store features an improved prepared foods department with expanded ready-to-eat, ready-to-heat and hot meal options, plus a new sushi department, hot and cold counters and Romanaccia sandwiches.
Customers will also find expanded deli, meat and seafood counters, along with a specialty cheese wall. Other offerings include fresh in-store baked goods, a dedicated cake counter and an improved floral department.
Loblaws Bowmanville now features a larger assortment of natural foods and dairy, as well as an expanded bulk section stocked with pantry staples, snacks, baking items and specialty products.
Shoppers can also access an in-store pharmacy.
“We’re excited to welcome customers back to a refreshed store built around the way people shop today,” said Kyle Short, store manager, in a press release. “From fresh prepared meals and specialty departments to expanded everyday essentials, our goal is to make each visit easier, more enjoyable, and full of great options for any occasion.”
Short brings 13 years of experience with Loblaws to the Bowmanville team, which includes 130 people. Over his career, he has held progressive roles starting as night crew manager and working his way up to assistant store manager at four locations. He began his Loblaws career in Toronto.
As part of the opening, Loblaws Bowmanville will be donating $5,000 to the Nancy LeBlanc Foundation through the Seeds of Hope Project.
