London Drugs chairman, H.Y. Louie president and CEO Brandt Channing Louie named to Order of Canada

London Drugs operates more than 79 stores across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia.

Brandt Channing Louie, the president and CEO of H. Y. Louie Co. Ltd. and chairman of London Drugs Ltd., has been named to the Order of Canada.

The Canadian state order honours people who make extraordinary contributions to the nation. This year saw 83 new appointments to the Order of Canada.

Louie got his start in the business after his grandfather opened a general store in Vancouver’s Chinatown in 1903.

He joined the business in 1972 and became president in 1987. Louie took up his current post in 1998.

Louie supports various community initiatives through the Tong and Geraldine Louie Family Foundation, and is a consultant on national anti-Asian racism strategies.
